I have done so much research on utila and I need help. Mango INN has good package deals, LAguna is almost $200 more. We want to go in July so I need help fast.
Thanks

The Mango Inn is a friendly, laid back, basic & funky place.

Laguna Resort is quite a bit more upscale, although not luxurious.

It's going to very hot & humid on Utila in July, and Laguna is better air conditioned.

For a week's stay, I'd pay the additional ~$200.

Have fun & I hope you get into some whale sharks.

Best regards.

We can get an air-conditioned cabin (duplex) at the Mango Inn. Does that make it sound any better to anyone who has been there?

I was at LBR just this April. Frankly, I was disappointed as they did very little diving on the North side of the island. The reason given by the manager was they wanted to serve lunch on time. Until they get this one worked out, I would stay somewhere else. See my mini trip report elsewhere in this forum. A couple of people (including me) got messed up from the food, although it was good food.

Yes, it surely does. I suspect you'd be happy with that accommodation.

Best regards.
