How do you zero out the exposure meter when focusing.
I am unable to do it unless I adjust the iso to obscene levels
Any tips plz would be appreciated
Thnx

I do not understand your question. What does focusing have to do with an exposure meter?

When I half press shutter the exposure bar is always -3

What is your camera, what settings, and how bright is the scene you are metering?

Epl10 just fooling around in the back yard
Could not get it to zero without a crazy I so or super low shutter speed
Wondering am I missing something or is this normal

That's why I wanted to know the settings and scene. No answers without the relevant details.

Generally you need to balance aperture, shutter, and ISO last. If it's too dark you need a strobe or lamp to get a balanced exposure without crazy ISO boosts.
