Now he can clear just by moving his jaw a tiny bit. Practice made perfect for him. Good luck
He did learn the BTV technique. Great for him!
In practice, he learned to control some small muscles in the head which make the Eustachian tubes to open, with substantially no effort.
 
In February, while doing pool laps wearing my fins, I inadvertently put my Pro-Ear mask on over an over the ear hearing aid. 45 minutes after I started swimming it occurred to me that the pool area seemed loud. I then realized what I had done. My hearing aid survived. Don't do this in the ocean....
