I'm not sure if this is the proper forum, but it seems to be the best match.

Please see the article below about an incident in Australia. Is the media not doing their job and just hyping an existing problem, or is this something new.

I haven't seen any conclusive evidence but it's more than likely Amphipods.

Most amphipods are scavengers so whats most likely happened is the Amphipods were feeding on something dead close by and migrated to his feet. That's my guess anyway.

Sea lice?! I got bitten by them but nothing that bad. Just got an uncomfortable feeling that someone was pitching my butt when I sat on a weed-covered rocks.
