Yes, I know this is an _underwater_ video forum so maybe a bit off topic...
I'm looking for a directional microphone for use with a Sony miniDV camera. The built-in camera mic is very sensitive and records _everything_ including sound in back of the camera, hands rubbing on the camera housing and so on. Sony makes several mics. Finding one is not the issue. I'm looking for opinions on the quality of various mics.
BTW, I'm very impressed with the audio section of the DV camera. I've never owned a digital auto tape recorder before. It's good, noiseless, and has good range. With some decent mics I should be able to get professional level sound recordings
Is there another (non-scuba) video forum (for questions like this) that someone would recommend?
