And looking forward to meeting new friends and divers.
So are there any local dive groups I should look into?

You are at the best dive group already! Welcome!
What type of diving interests you? Wreck, Reef, Spearing, Photography, Coral, etc, etc.

I primarily spearfish and have a boat in Hernando Beach. I enjoy diving any wreck I can find. I also like shooting big fish! I dont have any trips planned as of right now, but when I do they fill up quickly. I'll try to post in this thread next time.

Looking forward to meeting you. I have a 26ft sailboat I will be adapting to make it a better dive platform. I enjoy wrecks and I want to try spearfishing and I definitely want to go after some lobsters. I will be moving in down there in less than three weeks now, I can't wait!

The dive group I run in is Tampa but we dive all over the state. We have a great group of people that are just looking for an excuse to blow bubbles and love having potential new dive buddies!

We shoot for a big variety in our trips - free shore dives, local wrecks, East Coast trips, and an annual trip out to the Dry Tortugas. We are also planning to expand and run some trips internationally next year. You can find us on Meetup.com or on our website. So come on out and join us! :D

I will try to make one of your meetups soon. :)
