Hi guys,

I´ve just won a ikelite substrobe 400. Can i use it with sony-w5 with MPK-WA (P&S)?

Thanks!

I don't know about the flash on the camera, but if the camera has a pre-flash, the Ikelite 400 strobe will fire on the pre-flash and will not be ready to flash on the main flash. The built in slave sensor is probably sensitive enough to be triggered by the camera but you might have to apply tape to the front of the housing to deflect the internal flash upward. That strobe is a big monster and a DS-51 Ikelite strobe would be better suited. Another option would be the new AF35 strobe tha comes with a universal tray to mount your Sony housing to.
