:chicken: I am so stoked! I just put out the money for my first dive camera and housing. I am more of a click and shoot kind of person, but will have some fun learning about f-stops and such. I am going to try and wait for a while before I buy the strobe. I can't really explain why I bought the 5060 vs. the 5050, it was kind of a toss-up (batteries, zoom, and f-stop).

I am sure that once I get to start playing with the camera, I will have a ton of questions. For now, thanks for all of the great posts that helped me to decide to throw my hat (or perhaps more aptly, my dollars) in with Olympus.

Welcome to Club Oly! :D

Congrats... heheheh... a slippery slope indeed :eyebrow:
But you'll love it...

You probably made a good move in that I'm not seeing the 5050 around as much as before. The 5060 replacing it I guess... there were some very slight differences so you'll be happy with it... IMNSHO, it's the best starter/intermed set up you can get as you won't out grow it any time soon...

Good luck and look forward to hearing a report on it...

thanx
