  2. Buyer beware! We have had a scammer hit ScubaBoard and he's been quite pernicious, assuming names of people we know. It's important that you become very leery of doing business with anyone you don't personally know, even if it seems they have a long history here. I do suggest that you take the time to protect your account and change your password, which should be done periodically anyway. He has a preference for Zelle (which may change) and posts deals that are too good to be true. So, we will remind you of a few things to do in order to keep yourself from being scammed...

If at all possible, make the final deal in person If you must do it over the interwebs, use PayPal

Do NOT use the "Friends and Family" option

Avoid using payment options like Zelle that have no way of recovering your money

Check the pics being used via Google

Ask for a recent pic with a date

Abort and report the sale if the seller becomes aggressive or abusive

He will change his pattern as he continues to fail, so be smarter than him

If a price that seems to be too good to be true usually is

It's smarter to patronize businesses that advertise on SB anyway

    Report any suspicious activity ASAP

We will not arbitrate any deals

We will ban anyone who seems to be a scammer

Consider changing your password often, not using the same username/ password combo on multiple sites and making it easier with a password manager app Lastpass, Dashlane, 1password and DataVault are examples

i have in my possession 3 brand new in box Nautilus Lifelines. I thought before dropping them on eBay I would try my luck here.

Recent auctions went for 450-470 for used o
the refurbished model went for 620!

I’m hoping for 550 shipped for each.

Feel free to IM me with any questions.

This is one of those rare times I think of red chicklets...

Good luck with the sale selling them. :)

I bought mine new for $250. I love having it. Now..., I have a watch I bought 12 years ago that is no longer produced, I can sell it for more than what I paid it. Can I get twice what I paid for it? No. But..., it's just a watch. This thing is life saving. (and downright stupid to be discontinued).

I believe the reason they were discontinued was because the operator of the radio under law has to hold a vhf licence.

So if you can see your boat but they can’t see you, you have to call emergency services and everyone in 30 mike radius with gps rather than call your boat back to you alone.

    How ridiculous.

Keep in mind that you can’t get these Gen 1 units repaired - I had mine fault (never had actually used in water either) and they said they have no parts to repair. They gave me a new second gen, non VHF unit instead.
