Need more Mares Bungee Strap Extenders

Hi there,

I used to use steel spring straps for my Mares fins, but my feet always got very sore as the toes are squashed into the front of the fin (I've got size 14UK feet).

I read that Mares Bungee Straps have more 'give' in them, so I got them in XL. I'm using both extenders (one for each fin) but they're still very tight. I need to get another two extenders (to use two extenders on each fin), but as a previous poster said, I can't seem to buy them anywhere.

Can I get them from Mares, or is there another generous diver out there who might have these and isn't using them?

Is the strap made from 1/4 or 3/16 bungee, if so, you can buy more bungee cord and cut it to length. I have Scubapro Nova's and have 2 different straps, one for wet suit boots and another for dry suit boots.

Is there any way to buy 2 extra extenders, i suffer the same problem. love the straps but wish i could loosen it a little bit.

Is there any update on where we can get some extra extenders? I just bought a pair of bungee straps that seem to be a bit tight, even with the extenders.

I have this issue too, looking for another 2 extenders but havent found it anywhere. The only way I can think of is to buy a new spare of bungee strap in a larger size, but that's kind of costly.
Any suggestion pls!

Hi all, These bungee strap extenders are considered a part and can be purchased through an authorized Mares dealer. Most dealers will probably not have these in stock, as it's not the most common, but can be ordered by using part #40200178. I would expect to a pay $3-$5 per pair.

NOTE: This reference is for N. America only.
