We just posted this new video on A Diver's Life. Come to Bonaire and visit one of the coolest dive locations on the island - the stretch of reef between the dive site Something Special and Eden Beach. We filmed two forgotten wrecks - The Baka di Laman and Our Confidence and we provide you some of their history. Witness some crazy fish behavior including a tile fish building a nest! We will take you to two forgotten and like much of the dive it is late in the day and our camera lights bring out amazing colors. You will see one really huge Green Moray too and much more. We even give you tips on how to dive it. But don't just take our word for it. Come watch it for yourself.

Here is a take away of our experience with the equipment we used:

We filmed this with, mostly, a Panasonic GH5s in a Nauticam housing. There are a few clips that use the GoPro 8. We used a pair of Sola 3800 lights. This dive area needs to be filmed late in the day and at night to really show the beauty of it. Aside from the Something Special dive site much of the area is rubble as it surrounds a working harbor. The wrecks really come alive with lights and we don't know anyone who has filmed the area late in the day. The GoPro 8 is not great in low light but the Panasonic performed wonderfully.

We will say this was a challenge to get out. Adobe Premier had a GPU crash with the latest MacOSX BigSur and a defect in the design in the Nauticam housing finally broke the on/off switch of the GH5s right at the end. The connector is not quite long enough to reach the entire length of the on/off button and torques the switch button. Over time it finally snapped off shortly after we finished filming this episode. It is apparently a common problem.

Enjoy the video!
