I'm a Fish!
The video I am about to post, came from a dive by Robert Carmichael and Errol K on the Brownie battery powered Third Lung/Hooka system....They were using Halcyon HDV scooters , which couped with the exceedingly LOW drag of the electric Brownie on the surface, allowed much faster speeds than typically possible for scuba divers.... and the H2O V camera systems ( tiny 1080p system you can fit in your thigh pocket) allowed them to capture this Manta Ray encounter....and to keep up virtually as long as they felt like following the manta ray!!!!

I was actually on open circuit, you can see me scooter by and then swim pushing the dpv and camera so I could stay where I wanted in proximity of manta when it slowed down. We were there to do a film project unrelated to the Manta but could not resist having fun.

Errol, I see that you mounted your H20V camera to your scooter. How did you do that and would I be able to also do that to my Gavin?

The Halcyon 16 has a built in accesory slot for doing that. The Gavin does not. I can show you a way to mount it on the Gavin when I see you next time.
