Congratulation for getting AOW certification & welcome to Scubaboard!

I finally decided to get AOW after 8 years (400 dives). That was 4 years ago. :)

I've been diving for 2 years now and I happen to work at the same dealership as my instructor. Everytime I dive with him he pushes me to keep going to the next level. He's managed to push me into taking his drysuit class next. Just wish I lived a little closer to the ocean.

howdy, welcome and congratulations from southeast Florida....

Welcome. I'm also from the metro Atlanta area (Acworth) and should have my AOW soon as well (signed up to do it this weekend while I'm in Pensacola for work). Have you dove the lakes much? Allatoona has the visibility of muddy bath-water so I've never even considered bothering to dive there. Is Lanier much better? I do plan on diving the quarry (Dive Georgia runs a quarry not too far north of me), but I think I'll be sticking to mostly vacation dives with the options I'm aware of right now.

Excited to be continuing my adventure in diving and would like to be part of the community here. I'm in North Georgia so most dive in lakes. Particularly Lanier and Jocassee. Been to Pompano once and had a great time.
Learning all the time.

Congratulations on your AOW, and welcome to Scuba Board!! Lake diver (primarily) here too.... Lake Pleasant, AZ.

Lake Lanier has its good and bad days but about 10ft on average. Lake Jocassee in SC is a good bit cleare.

Congratulations to you! Welcome aboard! I hope you'll have fun like I do.

Welcome to SCUBABoard! After Lake Lanier's vis how did you like Pompano?
