So I just picked up this HOG 32lb V2 wing, AL backplate and single weave and I freaking love it. I'm trying to adapt to a SM rig and want to try and add retraction bungees to the wing in as simple a way as possible. Any ideas of a good way to rig up? Any help would be appreciated, outside of saying it's the wrong forum to ask this in. The holes in the side of the bp would be perfect but I'm sure of a good way to weave the shockcord.

I'd say he wants bungee to keep the wing flapping around as there is no tank holding it down.

Im wondering hold it down with STA. I'm at a loss from there. Maybe if you posted in the side mount forum?

The op likely thought he was getting HOG reps but that is in the "edge gear" forum.

quickfreze, you're trying to put a manual transmission in a Power Wheel. It's not meant to be utilized in that way.
If you want to dive sidemount, buy a dedicated sidemount system.

BTW Hogarthian diving is not the HOG manufacturer forum. It's an equipment configuration.
If you want to refer strictly to HOG gear and not hog harnesses, refer to the Edge|HOG forum (labeled Edge gear):

If you want to refer to sidemount diving. It be best to ask in the sidemount forum:

If I may, many people feel that bungees do not belong on a wing. To avoid this all together I agree with the others, a dedicated SM system ( a Hollis 50 is on sale at cave adventurers for $350). If you try to adapt a HOG system you are really just diving with stages vs a true side mount. That said, I have a wing and harness that can do both well (from UTD) but I also have a dedicated SM system. For cold water diving I use a SS backplate for the added weight but I don't think Florida guys have that concern. You have a very capable BM system but I do suggest going to a complete SM system.
