The Olympus XZ-1 camera has been announced, and it looks amazing on paper.

Can't wait to take it underwater! Let's hope Olympus can regain some of its past glory.

It's pretty amazing the lens will have a speed of F2.5 at 112mm, that's impressive.

This looks like it will be an excellent system V. cost. The new PT-050 housing already has the front mount for existing accessory lenses like those from INON.

I would not sweet the small stuff Olympus knows divers use two strobes, it may be somthing as simple as this.

That would be a simple fix. Hopefully someone will make one for Sea & Sea strobes......

If you are using a Sea & Sea fiber optic cord like this, below, just cut one end off and stick it in the Inon fiber optic plug.

I wonder what Shutter lag is like on this new camera?
New 5050 without shutter lag???? I'd be a happy camper!
I also wonder if Ikelite will make a TTL housing for this camera to replace my trusty 5050 rig?

The lens is comparable to the 5050's f/1.8. If the AF is fast, there will be many of us who will lust after this camera. Ikelite is sure to make a housing if the camera sells well. Until then, I've got EV controllers for my Ike strobes; TTL is nice, but manual works, too.
