"This advanced technology is leveraged by our new firmware which includes support for up to 4 transmitters on compatible Shearwater models. This firmware also includes exciting new features like advanced screen customization and AI Sidemount mode."

Lets see what they enabled!

what's exciting is that it seems like this is an iterative improvement and it is still one-way communication that makes this type of transmitter far more reliable than others, they're just "listening" to change the transmit interval so they don't collide and confuse the receiver. That's awesome!

Firmware notes here. Biggest ones are sidemount mode and DCIEM as an option

"Up to 4 wireless air integration (AI) tanks are now supported. Shearwater recommends use of the Swift transmitter when more than 2 transmitters are used to avoid communications channel conflicts. The setup menu for AI has been restructured to allow 4 transmitters to be configured."

"A sidemount mode has been added. The differences in sidemount mode are:•Reminder indicators are shown to promptswitching tanks.•SAC and GTR are calculated on the pooled gasquantity of the two tanks. The tanks must be thesame size.•A RTR (Redundant Time Remaining) displayoption has been added. This is the GTR calculatedonly on the tank with less pressure (i.e. the GTR ifthe higher pressure tank was lost)."

Would this one auto-shutoff to conserve battery if the tank is left on for hours without being used?

I'm interested in how stage bottles would work. I don't need the stage bottle in screen all the time, just when I need it.

I wonder if the new transmitter will be 02 compatible. Im pretty sure the old one stated not to use with high 02 mixes.

other gas mixtures can be used with the system as well. When using gas mixtures with oxygen content above 22%, be sure to have proper training on such mixtures, and follow proper cleaning and material compatibility guidelines. Swift transmitters are built with O2 compatible materials.

EDIT: Shearwater's comment on their facebook post
The new transmitters are made with O2 compatible materials, BUT they are not O2 clean. Unless we can have absolute control over the chain of custody to ensure no contamination, we cannot claim that you will receive an O2 clean transmitter. The responsibility to O2 clean the new transmitters will have to fall into your hands.
