I'm new to the board and to NYC diving. While I know about the dive boats in the area and the fine wreck valley diving, i'm interested in any shore diving locations that some of you may know about and will share with me.
For instance, is Beach 8th in Queens/Nassau county still divable? Any other locations that are acceptable dives? I have Dan Bergs book, but I wonder if it is still up to date.
Thank you,

All the best,
Geoff

you may want to post this in the wreck valley area, they will be able to give you a better idea since NY is not in new england.

NYC Diving? Interesting.. I travel through NYC a lot on business and have wondered what is under in the rivers. The vis must be terrible. It would be interesting to know what shore diving is like there.

You should go soon, while the Coney Island Whitefish are spawning.

Beach 8 street is still open to divers. Parking can be a problem so get their early.
