OK, what's the consensus these days? I have CF200 that will need a new zipper soon. Where should I sent it? DUI? DRIS? Gamble (though he's not there any more, I hear)? Diver's Cove in CT? Somewhere else? I want a neat, durable job at a reasonable price (which does not have to be the least expensive price).

D3 is still Gamble, or at least was as of May when he had my suit. I’m in the “gamble or learn to do it yourself” boat.

I just got my suit (Diving Concepts) back from getting a new zipper. I went with Superior Diving Repair in Brainerd, Minnesota. There was a slight delay on my suit, due to shipping problems from the virus. Work performed seems to be excellent, and they were very pleasant when I spoke to them on the phone. I would not hesitate to send them another suit.

Divers Cove does do excellent work. But there suggested turn around times do not hold water. I've been told 2 weeks for a zipper, ended up being 5. Their work is great, if they just gave an accurate estimate of time I would give them 5 stars.

Gamble is, in my opinion, the best around. He did a resize for me a few years ago. The suit was put back together better than the manufacturer.

I do second the do it yourself route. 90% of all my drysuit repairs are done myself. A zipper is easy. That is until you need to sew one. Some things are better left paid for. That's when I use Gamble.

The stitching of the zipper is the reason I didn't do it myself. I thought about it for a hot second, and decided it was worth it not to have to do it by hand.
