A small mistake in the URL - its:

www.damnam.org/forums

or specifically for Pattaya:

Pattaya is a strange place - somedays I like it , others I swear I will never go again. I think its appeal for Bangkokians is that its so bad it makes you actually adopt new techniques and strategies for finding critters, it really drives you to search. Of course if was not 1.5 hours from Bangkok I would never go for diving.

I much preffer Samaesan, and Laem Mae Phim (1 hour from Pattaya) is 5 times better (in season) than Pattaya but surprisingly few people dive the site.

For Pattaya extreme macro is normally the only photographic option that would enable saturated colours:

jagfish:
Ban's, where are they, and do they have a website?

I've gone with Aquanauts and Neptune in the past. They both have their own boats, which is nice.

Does Ban's do nice dive sites like the Khram?

Based in Bangkok (and Koh Tao I think). There's no website, I have a phone number +66-2-2537966
They have a couple of boats similar to Aquanauts.
I never know their schedule until I get on the boat so I can't answer that last one, sorry!

Yes, that sums up Pattaya pretty well. The last 2 weekends we've seen Nurse Sharks at Pattaya, is it their season? We saw 3 of them at Laem Ko Larn.

The Hamburger:
Ban's shop in Bkk is opposite the Brit Embassy on Wireless road.

we used to see small nurse sharks (never more than a meter) on every dive on Koh Rin, Man Wichai, and Lan (Laem Thawng side), always holed up under some coral for the day but then I did not see any for a very long time - nice to hear they are still there.
