No depth gauge just computer?

Sir, please. Don't advise anyone this. It's all fine until there is an incident and all the lawyers want the dive computer. I have lived through this, I would not advise it to anyone.

The first thing that happens in an incident investigation (and I have been involved in several) is where is the dive computer?

In the case of a dive accident, the investigators will check the equipment, and if there is a dive computer involved, that will be an important part of the investigation. I am sure lawyers will want to see it.

On the other hand, if no dive computer was involved, they will simply not have one to look at.

I believe it is mandatory in Philippines.
How the operator enforced it is another matter!

I don’t dive in the Philippines, I dive in Northern California.
