I'm no longer in WI (lived in Madison for several years), but there are some great spots for diving in the region. Whereabouts are you?
There's good diving to be had in Lake Superior up near Duluth or along the UP, great wrecks off of Door County, deep quarry diving at Wazee Lake in Black River Falls, among others spots.

where are you in WI? i recently moved to the Mercer area. Unfortunately the closest dive shop to me recently shut down so there isnt anywhere to rent tanks in my area any longer.
