Just got an OCI computer, worked great on the first 9 dives, but on the 10th it froze in Plan mode during a surface interval and would not work on second dive (stayed frozen). Firmware is updated. Any thoughts? I'm sure I can pull the battery, but I'd rather not lose my info. Probably sending this one back.
Thanks.

Just for grins & giggles, try holding the Mode and Select buttons for a few seconds. You won't read that in a manual but it has worked for me when my OC1 seems to be "stuck".
BTW, I have had good experiences with Oceanic tech support when I call them.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I ended up pulling the battery, but will definitely contact Oceanic about the problem. Glad to hear you have had good experiences with their support team.

I am currently looking for a new computer to replace my Cressi Newton and I was told oceanic but it seems every one of the computers I am interested in I hear has an issue with freezing or shutting off during a dive. Advice would be greatly appreciated

Bumping this question back up top!

We're diving the Aeris Elite T3 now and love it, but wish to upgrade to the OCi for the compass (and maybe to the VTX for the OLED display). The comments here are troubling, though.

Has Oceanic/Aeris fixed the recurring issues?
