are you on the Okinawa divers facebook page?

there is a boat that runs daily out of Itoman ran by an American that I frequent, and a boat up north that runs every weekend to the Emmons which is a must dive if you come.

where are you getting your nitrox from?

You must be talking about Charles and Chuck  As you probably know, there aren't many options for nitrox right now because some compressors are down. If you "need" it, MAX AIR (I think that is the name of the shop on the same corner as Sidelines) certainly has it and near Maeda, Take Dive can set you up.

I was there in August last year and we spotted manta rays on one of the dives - you should have success in July if you dive 2 or 3 days. As for as Okinawa operators, you really should go with Doug @ Reef Encounters. There's a reason why all the documentaries dive with him.

No, is there a lot of information there?

Do you have his contact information?

I would probably only need it for the Emmons. I would imagine everything else is multi-level or at depths where you are going to empty the tank before you hit your NDL. My preference is to always have a pony, but it seems like getting my personal one filled in Japan might be problematic, so renting one for the Emmons would also be something I would prefer.

There is a ton of information there. All the dive sites, weather, operators, everything you could need is there.

Getting a pony filled isn't an issue here. Tori has both din and yoke whips.

The other guy will have to answer in if the shops he visits bank 25% or can blend it. It STARTS at 130' and slopes down to 150'.

If you are in Naha, I would recommend contacting Tetsu at Honu Honu Divers (www.hhdivers.com). I did my Advanced OW license and got my son’s OWD license with them last year.

In Ishigaki, we dive with Prime Scuba (www.primescuba-isg.com).

For Izu, I just dove in Osezaki this past weekend. Shore dives and it is still dry suit temperature but it was ok for being so close to Tokyo.

Totally agree with @Scuba Cobra. Tori Station is the best bet if an option. I was making the assumption that the original poster was non-military/SOFA status so was posting off-base information. Tbh, I haven't really looked for specific blends to know for sure if they can do 25%. Next time I am at the Sea wall, I will check out Max Air (トップページ | 沖縄ダイビングでタンクのレンタルなら )and see what they offer for Enriched Air. As far as Take Dive (青の洞窟、体験ダイビング・ライセンス取得ならダイビングショップ テイクダイブへ!), they do technical diving so I'm pretty sure they do custom mixing. IIRC, they do in-tank blending.

I'm not military so I don't have access to any of the MWR facilities.

Any particular reason you are thinking 25%? What type of depths are you getting on an average dive of USS Emmons?

Random question, what size of tank is normal?
