The UFL-1 is slaved to the cameras strobe, so yes it will work with other cameras. It uses a short leg or long leg which mounts in the hot shoe, the hot shoe is usually located above the camera strobe. The UFL-1 will also work with the Inon fiber optic cable.

Is there an issue with the timing on the pre-flash, i.e. Olympus might be different to Fuji etc or does the optic cable sort all tha out. Might whant to use as a distance slave flash off the camera any ideas if it would still trigger

For reasons I don't understand my Olympus UFL-1 will optically syncronize with my SeaLife DC 250, but not with my Vivitar 6200w (sister camera to Sealife Reefmaster mini)
