I put together an OMS 45# Wing and a BP. I know the reviews on Banded Wings but all the same I like them and use them. I have a question that is not in the instructions provided by OMS. Would it be advisable to pass the bands through the holes on the edges of my BP to keep the edges of the wing from being loose? Then when you dump your air on the wing the bands crumple the wing to the edges of the plate, this way everything is very steamlined. I do not dive doubles, nor do I use stages to hook into those holes. I am planning to dive with a pony strapped to my primary tank though.

I wouldn't...

I would worry about the wing becoming trapped between the band(s) and the plate. This could be a hazard in tearing at least the covering, if not the bladder itself if there were any burrs or sharp spots on the backplate.

This may not be a problem on land, but could be in the weightlessness of the aquatic realm. I don't know, but why risk it?

It sounds to me that you are not diving hog maybe this would be better to ask in general postings.
