Welcome to SB Kt8Ken. There's lots of great dive sites and active divers in Orange County. An easy way to find local dive buddies might be to check out some of the local dive clubs. Two of the more popular ones that conduct regular dives in OC are Laguna Sea Dwellers (they also have a group forum here on SB) and South Orange County Dive Club. If you haven't done so yet, you might also consider subscribing to the OCdiving news list to stay abreast of local diving activity and dive reports - send e-mail to news-subscribe@ocdiving.com. Of course you're always welcome to join us if you'd like. Feel free to shoot a PM anytime.

Check out Sea Ventures dive club in Fullerton. They meet monthly and do a lot of Laguna Beach diving.

The speaker at the meeting tonight is Kevin Lee and they are also planning a dive on Saturday at Shaws.

South Coast Divers tries to dive every Saturday. All ages and stages. Go to the website and register and you will get a daily update on conditions and coming Saturday plans. I have gone with them once and it was great, they teamed me with a DM who was very helpful. Other times their dive condition reports in the daily email are valuable info. Pretty sure Louis or Rich will also respond to your inquiry here on SB.

Just show up at any popular dive spot and ask to dive with someone.....it happens to me at least once a month and always say yes.....
