This is slightly off topic from diving so please forgive me.
I'm sure many divers who have visited Ambergris Caye have stopped by the Palapa Bar at least once. If so, there is a good chance you ran into Scott or Jodie. They're good people and Palapa is a super fun place.
Earl took quite a toll on Palapa and it's essentially gone and Scott and Jodie are trying to rebuild. This all shortly happened Palapa had to relocate from north of the bridge to Wet Willy's pier after a nasty dispute with a new landlord.
A group has put together a GoFundMe to help. There are a lot of people on Ambergis Caye need help but, if anyone is interested in sharing a dollar or two for Palapa Bar the link below can be used.
