Class,
I'm heading to Palau and staying at the Palau Royal Resort on Malakal Island. Looking for recommendations for good eats and/or vegetarian options around the area.

was there a few years back, and we got tipped off to a place called carp restaurant. Was nice local feeling place, a bit hard to find at first, but easily walkable from PRR, very good food.

Found the Drop off over a neco was a nice place to hang out for an evening with a few friends and few beers. Was never that crowded and had a nice casual island feel.

I can't speak to veg options, it has been long enough I don't remember the menu options well enough.

drop off bar is the best bang for the buck, just no AC.

the restaurant over at the cove isn't terrible

palau royal onsite is ok too

Taj and kramers are overrated

As a follow-up, post trip...we found that Taj was the best vegetarian option around with the most variety as long as you like Indian food (we ate there 4 times!) Most other folks had pretty paltry veg pickings and of course, everything is noodle heavy which means the broth is pork based. Drop Off was solid and was ok for veg.
