Sometimes like early this AM I can paste text into a reply window. Other times like 5 minutes ago I cannot.
I can paste into other sites but not SB. What's up?

Click reply, then more options, then you get icons on the top of the screen; on the very right is a page icon. click on that. the screen turns blue and then you can paste.

Yes, pasting in the BB Code editor mode will often work by stripping out incompatible "hidden formatting" information from a word processor. You can also try Ctrl-Shift-V to insert in the Rich Text Editor mode to strip codes. Note that you cannot paste an image in the BB Code mode. For other readers, BB stands for Bulletin Board and is where ScubaBoard was derived.

I posted a similar question months ago and got no helpful reply. I tried this and it worked. When I was trying to paste before, I tried converting it first to both RTF and text, and neither worked.

I'm sorry I missed your question. Converting to text should always work if you paste into a text-only program like Windows Notepad. I have found that using some word-processing editors and saving to text or ASCII is less reliable.
