Is there any problem using the newer style Freedive Weight Belt with older Pinch Weights?
I see the new belt has ribs on it, and then saw this video:

I want a new belt but have older Pinch Weights.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Our current weight belt is entirely compatible with the pinch weights we currently sell.

If you are placing an order, for a belt and weights, there are no concerns.

However, some time ago, we sold a slightly different pinch weight which was compatible with a previous weight belt that we sold. We have since discontinued the old model belt (as well as the old pinch weights).

In general, it is possible to get the old (discontinued) weights onto the new belts, but it is a pain. You may be able to pry them open just a bit with a strong pry bar. If that doesn't work, please give me a call and I have another trick or two up my sleeve to address the "backwards" compatibility issue.

thanks
