Only issue I see with that is that velcro wears out, attracts lots of crap, and in a wreck or cave you could lose a pocket and not realize it. Having it permanently attached eliminates that happening.

I see your points, but with that said, I have a blow out pocket on my assault vest, it has a large velcro patch system to hold the main pocket in place. It takes quite a bit of effort to remove the pocket to work with the med supplies. I would think you could feel the stretch, and possibly tear (as you would with a fully sewn pocket) the suit if you were in a wreck. I don't know, I just know what works on land for me personally. They could easily utilize d-rings with straps to compress the pocket down as well as fully secure. I dunno just spit-balling. Maybe I should take your/my suggestion to the pinnacle section.
