I was there yesterday, but didn't participate in the Polar Bear dive, just did an hourlong solo dive. Turn out seemed pretty good from what I can tell. The bottom temp was a balmy 48F.
 
I saw that on the Channel 5 news last night also. Great advertisement for scuba diving in general, IMHO.
