I'm looking for a source of information regarding risk of additional hits after suffering a type II hit. About 1.5 weeks ago suffered a type II hit, treated with a Table 5 (ya, don't start, that was the DRs recommendation), which resolved about 97% of the problems. Only experienced minor difficulties writing. After returning to the states and seeing a local dr he recommended additional table 6 treatment. Afterwards 100% resolution. My stateside dr has reserved his recommendation until next week, but I'm curious what criteria he will use to make a recommendation? I've seen several drs and they all seem to have different opinions.

The Divers Alert Network (DAN) is the place to go for information. See the links below.
Follow the hyperbaric doctors advice, and if DAN suggest a longer period listen to them.

You can always call DAN and talk to a medical person. They are I believed the ones who spend a lot of time discussing DCI.

There will be no standard answer as each person is differnt and it would also depend upon what caused the DCI in the first place. In my experience, after I fully resolved and stayed dry for 30 days, I have done 118 conservative dies with max depth of 108 FSW and no problems, but that is me, and may not apply to you.
