I just got a new toy! Ordered the camera and the Ikelite housing last week and both are in. I played with the camera all weekend at Springfest, but housing didn't come in till today so haven't got it wet yet. And I was not expecting the size of the housing in comparison to the set up i've been using.

I am upgrading from my powershot A570 IS. I have two set ups of those just in case something happened to one. I do love that camera but wanted to start getting a little better control with my shots and start using RAW.

ok, my question, if anyone has been using this camera is, what about the external strobe? i have an Iklite 35 for my A570 but will it work with this camera since the flash does not flip automatically? I'm sure in time i'll figure this all out but i'm impatient. it is looking like it won't work. so, what do I need for a stobe for UW use? any suggesstions?

Well, my dive buddy helped me to figure out what type of strobe and light I wanted for this camera. I got the proV8 and the Ikelite substrobe DS51. Just got the lights a few days before leaving for the most recent dive trip. Here are a few of the pictures. I'm pretty happy with the results but need some more practice. These were taken in Belize last Tuesday

Nice Pictures Lisa. Looks like you are well on your way.

I really like the flamingo tongue, perfect blue behind it (well on my monitor anyway).

Hate the turtle picture only because it was taken in clear water and recently, I've been diving in soup.
