FWIW, I've been running Divers Diary on my Mac, OS X Mavericks, and syncing it with my Mares Icon HD (older version, not the AI version). I won't say it's been completely problem free, but I've been able to download my dive data without too much trouble. I can't speak to whatever experience you may have had with the Matrix, and you might have to update or add some drivers, but you might want to talk to Sergio Angelini at Mares and Dirk Frobese at Divers Diary. They've been amazingly helpful whenever I've had questions.
