Profile Data Banks - Modern Diving Resources
By Bruce R. Wienke, PhD and Timothy R. O'Leary

Profile Data Banks are extended collections of dive profiles with conditions and outcomes. To validate tables, meters, and software within any computational model, profiles and outcomes are necessarily matched to model parameters with statistical (fit) rigor. Profile-outcome information is termed a Data Bank (DB) these days,

Interesting article, although written in Wienke's typical impenetrable style. Having read it carefully, I still remain a little uncertain as to which divers are producing the data LANL is analyzing, and under what conditions; and the "risk" numbers he discusses appear to be model-generated and not derived from the empiric data, right?

There are some interesting statements in the article, though . . . among them that DCS risk correlates with BMI.
