Recently I've started purchasing some 109/BA's, and for the most part have had good luck with their conditions. That said, I have a few that I would like to bring back to a prettier state. Re-chroming is a real possibility, and I've thought that a black chrome look would be kind of cool. That got me thinking about the possibility of a PVD finish. More durable and a darker black...

Does anyone have any thoughts, words of wisdom, experience etc. with this? I will keep all my other treasured regs "as is", but would love one set that was different.

if you can get them PVD'd instead of chromed, go for it. More durable, looks cooler. A lot of the new regs are PVD coated and they are holding up really well

If you find where this can be done please let us know.
