Maïtaï Bécon diving is famous in France for its basin, an old quarry allowing to go down to a little 50 m of depth. This regularly attracts fans of the Paris region. Open all year round, the site which also offers baptisms on adapted platforms, has 180 to 200 members and would gather 40 to 50 divers per day.

Discomfort ? Technical accident? The causes of death remain to be determined. The investigation is entrusted to the gendarmes of the brigade community of Saint-Georges-sur-Loire. The diver's equipment was seized. He is already gone for analysis.
