Question prompted by the "citing" post

I'd be interested to know where I am *required* to display a flag when diving. I have a float/flag I use when I'm in an area that anyone else is using, but when diving with a buddy to 100'+ rarely use it since the float line's only 75' long (and we go up and down the wall).

Reading that there are actually regional laws requiring a flag makes me want to double-check my divesites beforehand. Is there any place this info is collected at a local or state/provice level, or am I going have to search on each location I dive?
