Just got word that Richard (PacketSniffer) passed away while diving in JB yesterday.

thread on CDF.

r.i.p...

OMG!! I think my heart just broke...I loved Richard. He always made me laugh...this is awful.

:depressed:

Richard was an extraordinary man- compassionate, humorous, intelligent & passionate about diving. It's hard to even attempt to sum him up in a few words. He always made an enormous impact on those who were blessed enough to interact with him. He is one of the few people that I have ever known who I can genuinely say that everyone liked him who met him.

Like all of you, I am deeply saddened by his passing. He will be missed by many, many people & most especially by his children & family. My prayers are with them today & in the long days to come. I will miss my friend.

I am so sad to hear this news....I have known Richard for several years and have had the pleasure of he and I buddying up on several great dives.....what a wonderful person Richard was to us all. Prayers to his family.

Prayers with family and friends.
