There are 2 other manufacturers that I know of that make housings for this camera - both of them in excess of 5k for the housing.

The ProPak8 is also the official Panasonic housing.

My recommendation (depending on which DVX100 model you get original/A/B):

- get a modified version w/ manual focus, Iris control and WB
- the WB lever swings around and doubles as an actuator for the ND filter
- I have added a nice 5" LCD into the rear plate, makes life sooo much easier (cost $150 USD including batteries, hardware)
- be careful about the optical alignment of the camera in the housing. My DVX100 does not show underscan in the viewfinder or Video-Out. Only after you bring in footage into an NLE can you see vignetting from the dome protector.
- based on my own experience and other divers using this brand, do not expect much of customer service after the pruchase. Check out the Better Business Bureau...

Even despite my negative experience with this manufacturer I would still recommend this housing - but you get what you pay for.
