In about a month I will be driving on U.S #1 from Central New Jersey right down to Key Largo..

I have several Certs. including NACD Cavern Certification and would like to do some dives in the caverns in Florida.

I know about Ginnie Springs and the High Point area but was wondering if there are any other good locations closer to U.S. #1 and further South.

Any advice and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sy

Buford spring in chassahowitzka forest.

Best cavern in fl and one of the cheapest too, just make sure it has not rained recently or viz is zero.

+1 for Paradise Springs located just outside Ocala. If you're going to head there, call ahead of time to ensure days and hours of operation. Also, get there early as the cavern can silt out bad if a number of divers are there.

Unless you are driving with a buddy you may have a hard time diving within your training if you are going solo. :)
