opinion wanted on either diving redand or pulau weh? i will have about 6-7 days to leave bkk and get back although 1 more day wont kill me and the time of year will be mid september give or take 2 weeks.

underwater i prefer large fish/ rays and reefs to macro but macro still v interesting to me, i also like a little socialising in the evening although not esential as diving is king.

thanks for all your opinions

Redang, for sure. Weh in September will still be subject to poor sea and weather conditions due to the southwest monsoon. Redang in September will still be the tail end of the dive season, but still pretty good diving.

Check out www.lumbalumba.com. The diving on Weh is awesome - nice currents, lots of pelagics (eagle rays, mantas, sharks etc) and schools of jacks and barracuda. Great underwater vistas too with tonnes of huge fans.

hi, thanks to you both for the reply but its ramadan in september so im going to pass. maybe xmas.
i contacted lumba2 and they were more than helpful, i would def dive with them in the future.
