This is an interesting topic. Our team has several sets, and used to use, a pony bottle bailout - i believe they are 19/20 cu. After a several trainings and live calls we all agreed that streamlined and less to get hung up was best. Sticking to similar protocols as ditch-diver mentioned. I think all would agree that the spare air does not belong in Public Safety diving.

We of course use bail-outs (30 cu) for the surface supplied searches we do. Kirby Morgan superlites.
 
Why don't you just stand up? You guys usually only dive in ponds, lakes and water traps on golf courses. :D
