My girlfriend feels she needs a bit of practice before we go to the Philippines in a couple months so we thought of going to Koh Tao for a few days to do some diving. At first we thought of doing the usual thing and doing a 3 dive day tour but it occurred to me that it may be more convenient for us to rent the gear for my GF and a few tanks and just do a few shore dives near the resort (we haven't picked one yet).
With that in mind, which place would be good for shore diving and which dive shops rent out gear and tanks?
