Replacing BC fill valve?

I just don't log dives
I am going to replace my BC fill valve, do I need to put any sealant along the hose connection or once attached it will seal fine without it?
Thanks for the help.
 
No sealant should be used. A little silicone grease to make it easier to install if you like but nothing else. I prefer to use 2 tie wraps instead of 1.
 
Yeah, double tie-wrap it for security.

The only hard part is getting the hose to slide on.
