Frequently I have an experience like this: Several hours after diving or swimming, back at home I bend over and all of a sudden find water running out of my nose.

I assume this is because water gets trapped in the sinuses when I'm diving or swimming. Can anyone tell me if one particular sinus (frontal, maxillary, etc) tends to get water trapped this way? Just curious about exactly where and how this happens ...

It happens. I've noticed it after taking a fall while waterskiing. Climb on board and as soon as the head tilts forward a small stream of water pours from the nose.
