For my second dive of the day last week, I jumped in on the Rigger I. The Rigger I started life as Navy garbage lighter YG-18 built in Pearl Harbor. Later it was used as a tender for deep sea oil exploration. It got caught in a storm and foundered in Santa Monica Bay.

I suspect that it isn't dived very often due to the depth and, from what I understand, usually mediocre visibility. I had unbelievable visibility on the dive. It was easily 40-50 feet with a bottom temp of 53F and a 20' deco stop temp of 64F. The wreck has a lot of white metridiums and is covered in fish.

The pyrosomes are everywhere. As I descended down the line, I went through a cloud of them. A picture is posted on the blog post.
