Rigging Up a Diffuser

[Sasquatch Pilaf]

I have a Canon Powershot S1-IS camera with the appropriate housing. My problem is that the housing doesn't come with a diffuser.

Can anyone suggest the best way that I can rig something up inside the housing that can act as a diffuser?

You could get scotch tape from 3M, the transclucent kind, and it should work. Try it out with different layers.. Tape it to the internal flash itself!

Translucent tuperware makes a fine diffuser and most people have some laying around the house. Take an old container that has a flat side and cut it to fit. Then just tape it on. Works well.

Translusent milk and other plastic containers also make useful diffusers. By stacking them together you can also use them to "adjust" the power of your strobe.
