Rinsing under twinset bands ?

I have moved my twinset bands and there is minor traces of paint scratches under the band.

I was wondering: are you supposed to remove the tank bands and rinse under after a sea dive ?

EDIT: I guess you should not because there is a risk of damaging the manifold.

The best one can do is just rinse with fresh water when done then allow to dry adequately.
